DIY valentine bath bombs
Create DIY bath bombs with epsom salts and essential oils for the perfect romantic night in or self care routine! These easy Valentine treats are a great non-candy alternative for the kiddos, can we get an amen, parents?! Personalize a batch of bath bombs for a bestie with all your inside jokes, bring along to a Galentine brunch as a hostess gift or even package them to send as Valentine treats for classmates at school! We tried both large and small size conversation hearts and ended up gifting one large one with a handful of small ones for the perfect combo!
conversation heart Bath Bomb instructions and diy details!
Ingredients
1 c. baking soda, 1/2 c. citric acid, 1/2 c. epsom salt, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 c. cornstarch, 3/4 tbsp. water, 2 1/2 tbsp. almond, coconut or avocado oil, 12-15 drops essential oil and color pigment*
*be sure to use a food + soap safe color dye so it doesn't stain tub or skin
mix wet + dry ingredients
Mix together all of the dry ingredients. Add your colored pigment and whisk to combine. In a separate bowl, mix together the wet ingredients. Slowly add the web ingredients to the dry ones until it looks like wet sane - moist enough to stick together by not too wet!
Fill molds and personalize
Fill each heart mold and pack it firmly until it slightly overflows. Let the bath bombs dry for 24 hours in the mold, then take them out and enjoy! We used a food safe marker to personalized them as little conversation hearts, and then wrapped them up as gifts!
